Judy Weeden

The brightest part of my day is in the morning when I make the short walk to my studio and can think about the day’s activities with clay. I feel most centred and alive while working in my studio. 

Although my work is still vessel oriented, imagining form is my primary focus. The decoration serves to give the form definition. I am not a glaze person. Hence the occasional elaborate slip-carving. The latter and the way I fire the kiln has its own pitfalls and challenges. And I feel blessed when a good pot stands and speaks for itself.
